The CXR Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of this year’s $10,000 scholarship, Olivia Cohen. Olivia is attending Texas A&M University and notes, “I hope to combine my passions for business, leadership, and technology to make a positive impact in the world in whatever way I can. I am extremely grateful to have received the CXR Scholarship award so that I can continue following my dreams and ambitions!”
After receiving over 1,000 applications for this year’s scholarship, the CXR Foundation Scholarship Committee used a qualitative scoring metric that showed preference for financial need and diverse backgrounds among other criteria. The Committee interviewed the top 12 candidates and presented three finalists to the Board. “We had three exceptional finalists this year,” notes CXR Foundation President, Chris Hoyt. “We are looking forward to getting to know Olivia more on an upcoming episode of the CXR Recruiting Community Podcast.” [Note: the interview with Olivia will air on Tuesday, May 30th at 11am Central via livestream.]
In August 2021, the CXR Foundation established a $10,000 scholarship fund intended to support the post-secondary education of the children of talent professionals or talent professionals who are pursuing advanced degrees. “Applications to this scholarship have doubled over the past year and we are excited to continue growing this effort. It’s just one way we can support our industry and, hopefully, inspire future talent leaders.” states Hoyt.
The next submission process opens in December 2023 with the scholarship being awarded in May 2024. The primary requirement will be that the recipient is the child of someone who works in the profession of talent acquisition OR a talent professional pursuing an advanced degree. Graduating high school seniors and current college/university students are invited to apply.
